About Us
Service Alternatives, Inc. was founded in 1983 by two former Peace Corps volunteers who wanted to give something back to their local community. Our agency was built on the belief that all people have the right to live in their community in their own homes, regardless of disability, illness or age. Service Alternatives has a long history of building healthy communities through excellent care and strong partnerships.
With 22 years of work in our communities serving children, families and adults, moving into senior services is a natural extension. We realized that our experiences, skills and values could be beneficial to our aging community members. As well many of us are supporting aging family members who need assistance to maintain their independence and health. In the fall of 2004, we applied for and received our license to provide home care services to seniors in King, Snohomish, Pierce, Skagit, and Island Counties. The caregivers we choose to work with you are caregivers we would want working with our own family members.
We pride ourselves on listening to our clients and providing home care services specific to the needs and desires of the families we support. We provide caring and dependable staff by encouraging their passions and strengthening their skills through our comprehensive training program. As a result of our hard work and dedication, we continue to grow and expand our services to better meet the needs of our communities.
Throughout the Northwest, we currently support more than 800 individuals and families made up of people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. We at Service Alternatives are committed to advancing the potential of our communities, customers and ourselves through exceptional service. This vision defines our purpose and is at the heart of our business.
